My name is Naoko and I'm a potter and tour guide. Pottery is a wonderful and important part of my life.

 

I believe the choice of dish is intrinsic to the presentation and enjoyment of the food it is used to serve. I strive to create pieces which not only enhance the experience of a meal,

but can be enjoyed in their own right.

As a tour guide, I have extensive knowledge and expertise in leading people from around the world on pottery tours of Japan. I now live in Melbourne, Australia, but I was born and grew up in Japan, where I studied ceramics. The tours provide me an opportunity to share my love and knowledge of Japanese pottery with people from around the world.
